08-22-2010  "Part of What I have Left"  by Kathena Bryant

(This is what I actually wrote on the envelope before I came home and tried to make it make sense and to correct it.)  I'm pretending I am in a workshop and posting drafts.)

Part of what I have left
I give to you.
My Bones are not what
they were.
Still they'll carry me through
You walk a little
slower
God yes we're getting
                      older
But our hearts
keep getting younger
We still want to stop

We still hope

Part of what I have left I give to you
My bones are not what they were
Still they carry me through
And you walk a little slower
Oh God yes we're getting older
But our hearts keep getting younger
We still  hope We still hunger
They don't end the dreams that wake us up
and make us up instead of sitting
Don't give up on us.  We are not quitting
What I've got left I want to spend it.
Don't be bereft if I don't end it.

Youth be surprised at oldie's mystery
That's all  for now the day is calling
I have no time to say it better
I'll grab my hat Give me my sweater
At my age, I will not edit.  If they don't get it, just forget it
You'll see yourself when you learn to  be BOLD
Finally you won't need to edit.  If they don't get it, Just forget it they're much too old.

I'm feeling like a million bucks cos I'm working for love.'   "WORKING FOR LOVE" song will be on our new album, and the video is up now on facebook as a first cut, with the final version coming soon to Youtube and the rest of the world.   The "LOVE" recording sessions were fun, espcially when pal David Olson of Speakeasy Productions dropped by and cheered us on.   He has a keen ear and a creative eye.
Here's the story:) We made some calls and gathered , director Frank Keraudren, modern dancer Yves Musard, 2nd camera operator and graphic artist Avi Bonime,  Tim's amazing intern at Sandpile Records Studio, James [...]
