Part of what I have left
I give to you.
My Bones are not what
they were.
Still they'll carry me through
You walk a little
slower
God yes we're getting
older
But our hearts
keep getting younger
We still want to stop
our hunger
We still hope
we still hunger
There's no end to
the dreams that wake us up
and make us up
instead of sitting
Don't give up on us
We're not quitting
What I've got left
I want to spend it
Don't be bereft
if I don't end it.
cos there's still so
much life, so much
love so little sense
in going quiet
I'll make more noise
than younger
Boys with silly toys
& average longing
