The Hippy Nuts release our cover of a song written by our friend, Tony Winner Alice Ripley. Alice has added so many memorable moments to our recordings and stage shows and we really love her song "Back In The Sugar" which has never been officially released. This will be on our upcoming album I Feel Lucky Tonight. We hope y'all enjoy this bluesy number featuring Guitarist Tim Champion, Singer Kathena Bryant, Guitarist Adam Levy (whose impressive discography includes Norah Jones and Tracy Chapman), Drummer Shannon Ford, and Bassist Paul Ossola.
Our satirical song "Poor People"
This song is character driven much like Randy Newman's "short people" but it's a straight up Rock anthem that will make you wonder why you are cheering along. Enjoy y'all. This song is cheaper than bus fare but who rides the bus? Ha!

Hippy News! June 20, 2011 We finished shooting the video for "Work On Me Baby," directed by Mitchell V. Reichler of Digital Daugie. What a great director and cameraman he is. The footage doesn't look good. It looks fantastic! We'll let you hippy nuts know as soon as it's edited. Hippy Tim, your audio mix is done! The guitars sound just right. You'll fall in love with the cast of Puppets made by Bill Remington Hubner, who puppeteered along with Deborah Hertzberg, and Serra Hirsch. We had other capable hands for 2 fun filled days of shooting, including Photographer John Curry (John Curry Studio NYC), Aaron Schwartz of Aaron Make-up, Troy Turner of Iconic Tresses, HippyNut intern Joseph Bellantuono, & Photo Assistant Stacey Osborne . Thanks & hugs also to HUB Bike Shop.

Pete Drungle wearing one of the Tim Champion Pedals! He is so innovative. We love his chops, his attitude, his great arrangement skills, and his sense of humor too. Hear Pete on a Hippy Nuts song:
